HOW TO GET STARTED
You Don't Have to Have Everything Figured Out to Begin.
Working with a financial advisor shouldn't feel complicated. You don't need to know which service you need, have all your finances organized, or arrive with every answer.
At Bird Financial Group, we start by understanding your financial life, your priorities, and what matters most to you. From there, we'll help you determine the right path forward.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Is Working With a Financial Advisor Right for Me?
You may be surprised by how financial advice can help, even if you've never worked with an advisor before.
I don't consider myself wealthy. Is a financial advisor really for someone like me?
You don't have to be wealthy to benefit from financial advice. It can be valuable when you're managing a career, raising a family, paying down debt, saving for retirement, or making decisions about your financial future.
You don't have to be wealthy to benefit from understanding your finances and building a strategy. The level of service that's appropriate will depend on your needs, circumstances, and budget.
I'm doing pretty well financially. Why would I need an advisor?
A good income and financial progress don't always mean everything is working together. You may have retirement accounts, investments, insurance, a mortgage, and competing family priorities without a coordinated strategy.
An advisor can help you look at the complete picture, evaluate important decisions, and identify opportunities or risks you may have overlooked.
What if I don't even know what I need help with?
That's a common reason to begin a conversation. You don't have to know whether you need financial planning, investment management, retirement guidance, or help getting organized.
We start by understanding your life and the questions you're facing, then explore what kind of support may be appropriate.
I already have a 401(k) or investment accounts. Isn't that financial planning?
Having investment accounts—or someone managing them—doesn't necessarily mean you have a coordinated financial plan.
Depending on your needs, BFG can help examine how your investments fit with your taxes, retirement decisions, household finances, insurance, estate considerations, and broader goals. Working with BFG doesn't automatically require replacing existing professional relationships.
My finances feel disorganized. Should I get everything in order before reaching out?
No. Getting organized may be one of the reasons to work with us.
We can help identify accounts, obligations, priorities, and missing information so you can better understand your financial position. You don't need a perfectly organized financial life to begin a conversation.
Do I need a minimum amount of money to get started?
There is no asset minimum to schedule a complimentary introductory conversation with BFG. Our formal planning and advisory engagements have different fees and requirements, and we'll explain those clearly so you can determine whether a relationship makes sense for you.
What does it cost to work with Bird Financial Group?
Your introductory Coffee & Clarity™ conversation is complimentary. If we decide to explore working together, we'll explain the services, scope, and associated fees before you make any commitment.
Our planning engagements range from focused financial organization to comprehensive strategy and ongoing advisory support. Fees depend on the engagement and level of service involved. Investment management fees, when applicable, are explained separately.
Our goal is to make sure you understand both the value of the relationship and what it will cost before deciding whether to move forward.
What happens if I decide I'd like to work together?
We'll agree on the appropriate engagement, explain the services and fees, and guide you through the onboarding process. Depending on the services selected, that may include organizing financial information, gathering documents securely, developing a financial plan, implementing recommendations, or establishing an ongoing advisory relationship.
Will I still have control over my money and financial decisions?
Yes. You remain the owner of your financial decisions and assets. Working with Bird Financial Group doesn't mean giving up control of your financial life. Our role is to help you understand your options, evaluate important decisions, and move forward with greater confidence.
Depending on the services you choose, we may provide financial planning recommendations or manage investments under an agreed investment management arrangement. The responsibilities and decision-making authority involved are explained before you engage us.
Our goal is to help you make informed financial decisions—not take away your voice in them.
What does an ongoing relationship with a financial advisor look like?
That depends on the type of engagement. Some clients work with us through a defined planning process with specific deliverables and a completion date. Others benefit from an ongoing relationship that includes periodic reviews, financial guidance, investment oversight, and support as their circumstances change.
We'll explain the meeting schedule, communication expectations, responsibilities, and services included in your engagement so you know what to expect from the beginning.
You Don't Need to Know Where to Begin. That's Why We're Here.
Whether you're getting organized, building wealth, or navigating more complex decisions, the first step is simply understanding where you are and what matters most.

Start in the Way That Works for You.
